What sold in September in Port Wing, Herbster, and Cornucopia?

Just a few sales on the South Shore last month. 

Out on Siskiwit Lake, a super cool cabin with a unique setup sold for $290,000. The cabin itself had no bathroom. but a separate bathhouse with shower and toilet. Cabins on this lake don’t come up for sale often. Great space for the new owners!

In Port Wing, two properties sold. East of town, just off 13, a beautiful home on a skinny 3 1/2 acres with 150 ft of Lake Superior frontage, sold for $650,000. The home’s replete with custom details and local material; the shoreline as well’s been bolstered to preserve its integrity over time. 

In the other direction, between Port Wing and Webster, a nearly twenty acre estate with 960 feet of Lake Superior frontage sold for more than any other single family home on the South Shore this year. The four bed, four bath home was built in 1996, and it shows in some of its interior elements but is otherwise balanced with massive walls of windows, in-floor heating, and a bevy of other features. Initially on the market for $994,000, this home sold in 133 days for $795,000. For cash. 

Landwise, a 40 acre parcel on Nicoletti Rd in Herbster sold for $118,000: $2,950 an acre.
